Black Light brings theatre magic to 10 South Lanarkshire schools

As part of its new schools building programme, South Lanarkshire Council needed a specialist company to install theatre sound and light systems in assembly and games halls. We secured the contract because we are a trusted supplier to schools up and down the country and have a strong track record of this kind of work. This project has been on-going over the past 18 months: 10 schools have been completed and we have another three or four schools to do in 2011.

What we did
- All the systems were designed following careful consultation with the staff and pupils who would be using them.
- All the installed systems were designed to be simple to operate and were clearly labelled and laid out. We used standard and reliable equipment that is well known for its high quality and performance.
- The project involved Black Light working with a number of nationally-known building service contractors, including NG Bailey and Spie Matthew Hall.
- The individual projects were all deadline driven with very specific hand-over dates. We hit our targets for every project.

Result
Using the inspirational and user-friendly systems we designed and installed, the children in each school are now able to conjure up eye-popping lighting effects, experiment with some amazing sounds and bring the true magic of theatre to their communities.Feedback
