Our maintenance goes swimmingly at Carnegie Leisure Centre

We have used our rigging and working at height expertise to help a high-profile leisure centre refurbishment meet its completion deadline. We used innovative thinking and a bespoke access system to reach a malfunctioning high-level LED lighting feature at the Carnegie Leisure Centre in Dunfermline. This tricky repair challenge was jeopardising the scheduled hand-over of the newly renovated centre.

We add Fire to Fiery Irn-Bru Launch

Black Light gave an explosive finale to the launch of the latest product from Scottish drinks company AG Barr, when we provided a spectacular pyrotechnic display for the unveiling of Fiery Irn-Bru. The launch event was in George Square, Glasgow. It featured former AG Barr chairman, Robin Barr, putting on a pair of oven gloves to pull the first ever bottle of the new drink out of a giant furnace. As the drink was held up to the cheers of the crowd, our team unleashed columns of fire and fountains of sparks behind him.

We install ‘stunning’ new lights at the Sage Gateshead

We have replaced the house lighting for two auditoriums within the Sage Gateshead, one of the UK’s leading music venues. The project required our team to overcome a number of significant technical challenges and work to a tight deadline and on a restricted budget. To get the job done we used our specialist rigging skills and installed a bespoke LED-based system that provided the flexibility, long life, low running costs and low heat output that the client required.
